Activity available under: Content Creation, Media Communications and Marketing Management services.
Scope: up to 1,000 words (main application and supporting info)
Credit value: 12
Description
Industry awards are extremely popular and great marketing tools – as even being shortlisted carries immense kudos. However, companies seldom have the time, skills and/or confidence to make a strong application.
Definition
‘Entry’ means the submission of all material necessary to be considered for the award. We originate or rework the copy as required – in accordance with submission guidelines/rules – and we’ll even nominate you.
The Process
We work with you to identify a suitable award (e.g., of relevance to you company’s activities) and an appropriate category (e.g., one you have strong chance of at least being shortlisted [making the finals]).
We then begin the application process, as most applications are made online and you need to register just to see the questions being asked (and word count limits for answers). We then work with you to outline the kind of answers and supporting information that will be needed for each question.
Notes
- It might be necessary (a requirement stipulated or suggested made by the award organisers) that [your] customers be quoted. If this is the case, you are responsible for seeking permission from your customers and/or third parties BEFORE the application process begins in earnest.
- It may also be a requirement that financial or other potentially sensitive information (such as market share data) be submitted as part of the application.
Together, we assess the likelihood of success of the application; i.e., being shortlisted.
If you do not wish to proceed, we draw just 2 credits for the preliminary research and discussions conducted up to that point.
If you do wish to proceed, we interview at least one of your colleagues (and there may be more than one interviews per colleague) to capture information needed for submission. If applicable, we will also interview your customer or a third party.
You are responsible for the provision, to us, of all photography (of products, people or locations, for example) and background material we will need to include as part of the submission.
The Deliverable
The submission material is typically brought together in a Word document and produced under strict version control and, towards the end of the process, you will be asked to approve a specific draft version or supply an amended version that will be taken to be fully approved. You or we then submit the material.
While we cannot guarantee a win for you, please note that in all the years we have been nominating our clients for industry awards we have yet not to be at least shortlisted; and we have secured Queen’s Awards for two of our clients.
