Advertisement Repurposing (ADR)
Activity available under: Content Creation, Media Communications and Marketing Management services.
Scope: Single advert, three-pass process
Credit value: 1
Description
Even with the growing popularity of content marketing, advertisements remain effective marketing tools, be they in print or online.
Definition
‘Alteration’ means the reworking/repurposing of an advert we have previously designed for you, and for which we will already have all or most of the source material. For example, we may have previously designed a portrait advertisement for you, and there is now a need for a landscape version (i.e. most elements will need to be repositioned).
The Process
An advertisement is typically altered against a verbal or written brief from you.
You are responsible for the provision of source material above and beyond that which we already have on file (from the original design project).
Unless we are also managing the placement of advertisements on your behalf (i.e. under our Marketing Management) you must also supply us the requirements placed on you by the publication or online platform. These requirements will include dimensions (pixels wide by high), bleed (for print) and format (CMYK or RGB).
As with design creation, the advertisement will be altered under strict version control. This is a three-pass process, that:
- We submit a design draft v1 and invite you to approve or provide detailed feedback.
- If changes are required, we make those, submit a revised design (draft v2) and invite you to approve the v2 or provide details of final changes.
- If final changes are required, we make those, submit a draft v3 and seek your approval.
Upon your approval – of draft v1, v2 or v3 – we will supply high-res final artwork.
If it is necessary to go beyond a draft v3, subsequent revisions are charged for at 1 redit per revision. The risk of additional charges (and costs) can be mitigated by the quality of your brief to us detail within communicated feedback. We strongly advise against advertisement design through ‘trial and error’
The Deliverable
This will be as per stipulated requirements.
