Description

This is all about building and maintaining media ‘relations’. Remember, editors decide which content appears online, in print and goes out via newsletter to tens of thousands of readers. Having met and/or spoken to editors, they will be more familiar with your company and the markets you serve. This will help improve the coverage your press releases achieve. Also, the editors are more likely to invite you to contribute editorial, e.g. articles or case studies.

Definition

‘Implementation’ is the actual meeting or phone interview, as mediated by a Declaration team member.

The Process

Whether a face-to-face meeting, phone call or video conference call we will make the introductions, present/outline the agenda and hand over to you. Alternatively, as we know most editors personally, we are happy to go through the ‘news’ as well, with you contributing as you see fit.

The Deliverable

This is the meeting or interview. We deliver on any actions (e.g. supplying the journalist with anything requested / and in our power to supply) at our very earliest convenience. If no requests are made during the meeting / interview, we follow up with journalist(s) a day or so later to verify they have everything need.
