Reliability Improved & Confidence Restored
Solid-state-based emulators are increasingly replacing floppy drives and other yesteryear storage technologies. Brian McSloy explains how solid-state-based swap-in drives are keeping host system operational and delivering new features. The aerospace and defence...
Solid State-based Emulation is a Sustainable Option
Solid State Disks Limited (SSDL) featured in the November 29 issue of Electronics Weekly. In a two-page article by their Chief Technology Officer, Brian McSloy, SSDL explain how solid-state based storage devices are able to emulate the behaviour of yesteryear data...
Avionics Industry’s Growing Need for TLM
Avionic systems are increasingly employing FPGAs and SoC FPGAs with high-speed interfaces such as PCIe and Ethernet to deliver greater performance and reliable connectivity. However, if the underlying FPGA design needs to demonstrate development assurance based on...
The Pressure is On
John Govier, Sales Director of Inseto, summarises how far sintering has come and hints at what’s in store. The EV sector is constantly striving for higher power densities (in terms of W/m3) and in particular with regards to the electronics for controlling power, both...
Assuring EV Battery Pack Reliability at the Cell Interconnect Level
John Govier, Sales Director, and Jim Rhodes, Technical Sales Director, of Inseto explain and compare the two most popular cell interconnect methods. Electromobility (e-mobility), the move away from using internal combustion engines in cars, bikes, buses and trucks...
Assuring IoT Device Robustness Through HIL Testing
Reproduced here with the kind permission of the Editor, New Electronics.
Confidence through simulated hardware-in-the-loop
Reproduced here with the kind permission of the Editor, Electronic Product Design and Test.
The logistics of the placements were all managed through the Declaration Media Communications Database, which was designed, built and is maintained in-house. It contains the forward features lists of hundreds of trade press publications, as well as their readership profiles, circulation figures and geographic reaches. By feeding in data from a client’s content strategy or plan – data such as a campaign around a particular capability or to increase their presence in a specific industry sector – our database automatically identifies the most appropriate publications, feature sections and contact details of the editors to approach.
The Declaration Media Communications Database is unique.
No other agency makes data-driven communications in the same way we do.
How Healthmatic Benefits from Hardware-in-the-Loop
The editor of EE Times (who is also Managing Global Editor of AspenCore), invited us to submit this article. A condition though was that it should include an example of how BELIeVE was used to help a customer. And we delivered …..
It is Time to BELIeVE
Though this is a news item we felt it worthy of inclusion in our Articles Archive. The editor of Instrumentation Monthly made the product being announced her Editor’s Choice of the month, and gave our news an amazing two full pages (the same space as an article!).
Verifying at a Higher Level of Abstraction
FPGA designs for avionics applications are increasingly employing high speed interface buses to deliver greater performance. If the application is safety-critical, verifying the design for certification purposes is challenging. Krzysztof Szczur explains how transaction-level modelling helps.
Cure in place liquid seals
Eamonn Redmond, Sales Director of Inseto discusses cure-in-place liquid seals in Issue 2 of FAST magazine.
Powering Up
Boundaries are being pushed in all engineering sectors, but few more so than with regards to power electronics. Matt Brown, Managing Director of Inseto, and Andy Longford, Technical Consultant at PandA Europe, explain how the manufacture of next generation power semiconductor devices is requiring new processes and access to expertise in academia, research institutes and the supply chain.
Protecting IIoT devices from cyber attacks
Contributing to an ever-expanding attack surface and operating in an industry that is only just starting to see appropriate regulations, IIoT devices are vulnerable to cyberattacks. Michael Barrett, managing director of Nexus Industrial Memory, explains how devices...
